Disney has officially confirmed that Angelina Jolie will return to portray one of her most iconic characters in Maleficent 3: Black Fairy. The third film in the saga of the powerful dark fairy promises to be the epic conclusion to the story started in 2014, bringing new threats, dark magic, and the final confrontation between magical and human worlds. With a scheduled release for 2028, the film is still in the pre-production stage but is already one of the most anticipated titles in Disney's new live-action phase. The plot of Maleficent 3 is still being kept under wraps, but rumors suggest the film will take place years after the events of Mistress of Evil (2019).
