Following the massive success of the 2010 animated hit, Disney has officially announced the live-action "Tangled," a musical comedy, fantasy, and adventure film set for release in 2027. This live-action remake brings to life the beloved animation, which was originally inspired by the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, Rapunzel.

The Tangled live-action remake is currently in development, with Kristin Burr and Lucy Kitada producing under Burr! Productions. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson has penned the latest script, while Michael Gracey is in talks to direct the film for Disney.

PREMISE:
The kingdom's most wanted bandit, Flynn Rider, hides in a mysterious tower and ends up a prisoner of Rapunzel, its long-time resident. Possessing 70 feet of magical golden hair, she has been locked away for years and desperately craves freedom. The determined teenager strikes a deal with the charming thief, and together they set off on an exhilarating adventure.
