Christopher Nolan is back with maximum ambition. His new film, The Odyssey, promises to be one of the grandest productions in recent cinema, adapting Homer's classic epic poem for the screen with all the technique and innovation that define his style. The release is scheduled for July 17, 2026. A significant technical highlight: it will be the first feature film shot entirely with IMAX film cameras. Nolan worked with IMAX to develop quieter, lighter cameras with enhanced scanning and reproduction techniques.

PREMISE:
The plot follows Odysseus (played by Matt Damon), King of Ithaca, on his long and dangerous journey home after the Trojan War. Along the way, he faces mythological enemies such as the Cyclops Polyphemus, the irresistible Sirens, and the sorceress Circe, while dealing with gods, monsters, and the challenges of fate itself. His goal: to reunite with his wife, Penelope, and his son, Telemachus.
